Mako- Introduced to the sport of pro-bending early into her stay in Republic City, Korra was a big fan of Mako but when she met him in person, she was turned off by his attitude.  Though they are complete opposites, they eventually put aside their differences aside and become friends and pro-bending teammates—with Korra developing a not-so-secret crush on Mako along the way.
